I went to visit Mary last night, and Mom, Dad, Trent, and Rachel were there. I arrived just in time to see Dr. Edlund (I love Dr. Edlund. He is so awesome!). He said that he is absolutely sure that Mary does not have Crohn's Disease nor Ulcerative Colitis. He is having a gynecologist come in to do a pelvic ultrasound today because he said he thinks it has something to do with an enlarged ovary. If they can't find anything through that route, they may have to do a laparoscopy to find the cause. Mary's pretty fed up with being in the hospital, although it's only been 2 days so far. She really doesn't want to miss Thanksgiving. She was pretty excited, though, because she finally got to eat a meal...a cheese toastie, french fries, and potato salad...hmmmmm. Not my first choice, but I can say that when you go without eating for a few days, you tend to make odd food choices. She was much happier after that. We told her that she was pretty grumpy (I mean, REALLY GRUMPY!), but Trent said he prefers to say "fiesty." I think he has learned how to deal with Mary fairly well. :-) Keep praying!!!
