Lucia's First Holy Communion

On Sunday, my youngest sister (and goddaughter), Lucy, made her First Holy Communion. She looked lovely, and I was so proud!

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get a photo of her actually receiving the Eucharist because I was in a bad position.

Afterward we celebrated at Grandma and Grandpa's house with food and a beautiful cake and a joyful day with family.

Congratulations, Little Lucy! We love you!

Here's the Church, Here's the Steeple...

Our church, St. Peter's, is in my opinion the most beautiful church in the city, and I'm not alone in this opinion. Festive events like Christmas make it even more regal, if that's possible. We attended Midnight Mass again this year, and the church looked absolutely amazing.

A special girl on her special night

Last Thursday, my little Kellyman was confirmed. She took the name "Therese Anthony" (she chose two names). The photos really don't do her justice...she was absolutely gorgeous. I am so proud of my little sister. She has grown into such an amazing person, completely selfless, kind, and pure. I've known for a while that she was meant to do awesome things, that God has a great purpose for her. This is just the beginning of that journey.

After driving all over town to find a restaurant at 9:30 at night, we finally drove to Pizza Hut, one of the only places open still.
Mom is telling the "mouse story." You really must hear it. It is très humorous.
It was wonderful to celebrate this special night with Kelly and to spend time together.
