Tiffany Blue

I love the concept of red decor against Tiffany blue and white. Am I daring enough in my home decorating skills (or non-skills) to attempt this? Not yet, but I've played with the idea for some time. It's not the colors together that frightens me...it's the painting the walls of a room in such a vibrant color.

Here are my go-to pictures when I want to think about it.

Funny, but the last one kind of looks like our bedroom, only we have sky blue walls and wood floors. But the blue with black and white decorations and Breakfast at Tiffany's poster above the bed...now, that's right. Of course, there are also Humphrey Bogart and James Dean posters.

Decorations on the Tree and Sweets in the Kitchen

Of course, I'm a bit late in posting these photos. I know, Christmas is over, but it's still winter, so I'm not completely behind.

This year we only decorated 1/4 of our house because we only live in that much of it right now so there's no use decorating the whole thing.

 Hi.

Couldn't find mistletoe, so a kissing ball had to suffice.

My first attempt at gingerbread....I took some to work and they went over VERY well.

LOTS more Christmas to come!

Office Space

This room has been chock full of junk for over a year now, and I keep saying to Aaron, "Don't worry, I'll clean it." Well, he finally stepped in and said, "We are cleaning this room...today." And we did (mostly). Then he and his buddy Grant lugged this uber heavy rolltop desk in, and Aaron brought down a file cabinet, and, well...this is it!

And when I saw it, I said,

"Ooh...I love it!"

Then I decorated it using pages from last year's engagement planner

and some little frames that fit just right.

And the nice thing is that when I get tired of these pictures, I can just change them out with other ones from the calendar.

And the rolltop has two little wooden boards that pull out so that I can write notes and letters and such.

I am a lucky girl to have such a very thoughtful husband.
