Hey all you landlubbers!

Foo Foo absolutely loves to dress up normally, but she was NOT happy with this outfit. Apparently she doesn't like pirates...this simply WON'T do!
Aaron began a tradition in 2006 called Pirate Party. This involved an intricate treasure hunt which led to an actual treasure. Everyone put in $10, which Aaron used to purchase Sacajawea dollars, then buried them so the scallywags could find them. He put together clues which led to different local sites, and after the treasure hunt was over we had a bonfire with lots of grog. Did I mention that we dressed in pirate attire?
This year his friends planned it, and although it wasn't the same Pirate Party that we all know and love, it was still a good time. Basically, there was still the pirate costume....
grog drinking....

attempts to frighten the locals...

battling (even better when all the neighbors can see)...

and an all around jolly good time.

This year we took a photo in front of the creepy crazy Halloween house. These people go all out decorating for Fright Night every year. They began decorating a few weeks ago, and I saw the lady yelling at the guy about where he was putting the spider (note: it's on the roof).

Another new pirate activity this year...walking into town in full pirate attire (we usually do this anyway) and asking one of the local firefighters to take our picture on one of the firetrucks. They were VERY excited about it. Unfortunately, we forgot that they were having a town hog roast in the rear of the building...how awesome would that be to show up at the H-town hog roast, terrorizing the locals??? Maybe next year...

Oh yeah, and this was apparently Pirate Jake's favorite pose of the evening.

Join next year, me hearties...or walk the plank!
