Call me "Lady Aubrey"...

Is anyone else completely sick of all this political correctness crap? I'm not a Secretary; I'm an "Administrative Assistant." Yeah, yeah. As long as you're nice to me, I don't really care what you call me.

So how utterly ridiculous, when Senator Barbara Boxer publicly reprimanded Brigadier General Michael Walsh (see here) for calling her "Ma'am," an entirely polite title when bestowed on anyone from Queen Elizabeth (yes, this is appropriate) to the United States First Lady! Personally, I don't think that people use "ma'am" and "sir" enough. If you'll notice, kids seemed a lot more respectful when they used these titles with their elders!

Is anyone else just entirely frustrated with how the government officials are behaving? What's next? And why isn't someone doing anything about it? Why aren't we all doing something about it? Why aren't we writing letters and putting these people in their place? We should be reminding them that they serve us, not the other way around!

Is anybody listening?! Does anyone even really care?!

What makes Barbara Boxer so darn special? Maybe I'm special. I've been working really hard on my tea party skills and lifting my pinky finger when I drink, so from now on....please call me Lady Aubrey.

These people make me want to throw up.

I agree Lady Aubrey. Barbara Boxer is a tool! I actually have other adjectives for her, but I refuse to use them in the presence of a Lady. :)
