It was an eerie night...and yet it was beautiful

Tonight was a little eerie.


There was a rosy glow over everything, & the clouds looked so odd and ominous, yet the colors were so brilliant that I was completely awestruck. 


Foo Foo, however, was more disturbed by the passing joggers (I just love when she gets upset and puts her paws on the windowsill to bark at the passersby).

Another Sign of Spring

It's been horribly cold here, and I'm terrified that we'll go from freezing to unbearable heat and completely skip Spring. But I saw another sign the other day that it's hiding about....

Stay strong, Spring....we'll see you yet!

Bunny Bath

These sweet little bunnies just melt my heart!


And I'm in love with these tiny kittens. I want to just carry one with me in my palm everywhere I go, and maybe purchase a tiny handbag for it to ride along in with its head peeking over the top. They'd be the hit of all the parties. What do you think?

Foo Foo's Greeting

I recently sent a birthday package to my German friend Anja, and I found this adorable birthday card. Isn't it sweet?

It looks just like a baby Foo Foo. Really! That's just what she looked like! I think maybe we should make some money by asking her to become a model for greeting cards.

Swiss Doggies

Many of you know how much I enjoy sending and receiving postcards through Postcrossing.com, and part of the reason is that I meet so many amazing people. For example, meet Franziska who lives in Switzerland. We have many shared interests, such as photography, puppies, penpalling, reading, postcards, so we have decided to stay in contact. She has a website called Swiss Doggies, and her little puppies have the most wonderful life. They live in the beautiful Swiss mountains and look so happy playing in the snow and running about. I asked Foo Foo if she wanted to be a Swiss Doggy, and I think she said yes! Well, I don't blame her.

Mirror mirror on the wall, who's the cutest pet of all?

There is a photo contest in the newspaper for the cutest pet, which will award $1,000 to the winner and the top 12 will be in a cutest pet calendar. So I spent a bit photographing the animals at the behest of Aaron, and if I win I will use part of the money to buy more camera equipment, like a wide angle lens. I also used this time to practice some pet photo skills. Let me know what you think the cutest pet picture is! I would really appreciate your advice. We figure Foo Foo is probably our go-to for the contest. I'll be posting these on Facebook, too.

The cats died.

We packed up the puppies and went to the drive in to see "Toy Story 3" and "The A-Team."
